Walkthrough: Intro

This walkthrough is one of the many 'How-to' guides to help you and your team get up to speed in no time.

This particular walk-through shows you the make up of a Project Action - which is a term to describe each of the workflows within Project123. The following are all examples of a project action: task, defect, risk, change and an issue. Each project action has multiple tabs and this how-to describes each of the tabs and how you can use these.

You can click on a specific circle to learn more about a step you are interested in, or you can walk through the process for a particular topic. The next and previous links allow you to move backwards and forwards to the step prior and next in the process.

Reviewing each of the steps outlined in this process will allow you to utilize the capabilities of the project action workflows.

The steps for navigating a project action are outlined in the following steps:

  1. Opening an Action - Outlines the ways to find your action, such as search and the Personal Action List.
  2. Action Details tab - This screen describes the action and provides any recommendations. You can also create linked tasks in this screen.
  3. History tab - This screen displays the history and audit trail for the action.
  4. Discussions tab - This screen allows you to create and view discussions relating to the action.
  5. Documents tab - This screen allows you to view existing documents and to add new documents that are relevant to this action.
  6. Links tab - This screen displays the linked actions that are the children actions of the main action.
  7. Print tab - This screen allows you to print the action, and allows you to select the parts of the action that you want to appear on the print out.
